Every platform wants a different shape, and a video made for one rarely fits the next. The usual fixes all cost you something: crop it and you lose the sides, letterbox it and you get black bars, stretch it and everyone looks wrong. Hermoso resizes a video by filling it out. How do I resize a video?

1. Bring the video. Upload it, or paste a link that opens the video file itself. A link to a post page (a TikTok or Instagram page) does not work here.
2. Pick the new size. 9:16 vertical, 1:1 square, 16:9 wide, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9 cinema or 9:21 tall.

Tips for a clean resize

• The bigger the change in shape, the more of the frame is new picture. Wide to tall fills in a lot of sky and floor; wide to square fills in much less.
• Check the new edges for text or a logo that should not be there.
• If the main subject sits in the middle of the original, it stays in the middle of the new frame.
