Set up the Klaviyo MCP
- Open the app, go to Workspace ▸ Connectors, choose Klaviyo and paste a private API key (in Klaviyo: Settings ▸ API keys ▸ Custom Key) with Read Access to Accounts, Flows, List, Metrics and Segments, and Full Access to Campaigns, Images and Templates. To sync leads into a list, add Profiles and Lists write access too. One connection covers the web app, the MCP server and the CLI.
- Add the Hermoso MCP server to your assistant. The URL is
https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp. In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL, then sign in on the consent page. In Claude Code:claude mcp add --transport http hermoso https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp. There is no key to paste; the connector signs in with OAuth. - Ask for what you want in plain words. Can AI write and send Klaviyo campaigns?
Yes. Through Hermoso, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can make an on-brand email template from your ads, create the campaign draft for your lists and segments, send a test, and send or schedule it. A real send always shows Klaviyo’s recipient count first and waits for you to confirm it.
Will it email my list without asking?
No. Templates and campaigns are created as drafts. Sending to a list needs your explicit yes to the exact number of recipients Klaviyo reports, and a test only ever goes to up to five addresses you name.
Can it build Klaviyo flows?
It reads your flows and reports on them: status, trigger, opens, clicks and revenue. Building a flow stays in Klaviyo.
Does the Klaviyo connection cost credits?
No. Building templates and campaigns, sending, reports and lead syncs cost no credits. Credits are spent only when an AI model makes something, such as the image or video in the email. Klaviyo’s own plan applies to the emails you send.
Are lead form leads subscribed to marketing?
No. A lead form is not consent Hermoso can vouch for, so synced leads join the list with their consent status unchanged.
Do I need a separate Klaviyo connection for the app and for MCP?
No. One authorisation covers the web app, the MCP server and the CLI. It is the same stored connection.
