Schedule LinkedIn Page posts without guessing which Page

Hermoso holds LinkedIn’s 3,000-character cap at schedule time, refuses a Page that has not been shared with the brand, and keeps the personal profile switched off unless somebody explicitly ticks it.

Hermoso schedules LinkedIn posts from the same place it makes them, to the company Page you name. The 3,000-character cap is enforced when you schedule, and the Page has to be one that was explicitly shared with the brand — a Page nobody ticked is refused rather than posted to.

The creative is usually something Hermoso just rendered for the brand rather than a file dragged in. The queue and the other seven networks are on the social media scheduler page.

What LinkedIn actually allows

The caption cap is 3,000 characters, checked at schedule time and refused with the number rather than truncated.

Visibility is public and nothing else. LinkedIn has no unlisted, private or draft post, so there is no other state to pick and none is offered.

On media, a company Page post can carry an image or a video, and a company Page is the target for video work.

Identity is the part worth reading twice. linkedinOrganizationId picks the company Page. With none set, the post goes out as the connected person — and the personal profile is off unless it has been explicitly ticked. If the personal profile has not been shared with the brand, the schedule is refused right there, free, rather than failing hours later when nobody is watching. Name a company Page that has not been shared and the refusal comes back with the list of Pages that are shared, so the fix is in the error. One person typically administers several companies' Pages, which is exactly why Hermoso will not pick one for you.

Refused when you schedule, not when it fires

Everything that can be refused is refused while you are still there, with LinkedIn's rule and the fix attached. An unshared Page, an unticked personal profile, an over-length post, a request for a draft LinkedIn has never had: each is answered immediately and costs nothing. The alternative — accepting the post, holding it for a week and then failing quietly at 09:00 — is how a launch announcement gets missed.

After the post is live

Only the copy of a published LinkedIn post can be edited afterwards. The image or the video cannot be swapped, which is LinkedIn's constraint rather than ours, and it is worth knowing before you queue a month of Page posts with the wrong asset.

Measurement

Page analytics cover followers and follower gains split organic against paid, Page views (all, unique, desktop and mobile), and per-post impressions, unique impressions, clicks, likes, comments, shares and engagement rate. Twelve months of retention is available. Two honest caveats: follower figures run about two days behind, and LinkedIn omits posts with no activity rather than returning zeroes — so Hermoso reports those as missing rather than as zero, because a zero you did not measure is a lie in a chart. Sponsored activity is excluded from these organic figures.

The paid side

LinkedIn is one of the channels with full ads management in Hermoso: campaign groups, campaigns, creatives, budgets, status, targeting search and reporting. Every tier is born as a draft, and all three — campaign group, campaign and creative — have to be active before a single impression serves, which is a useful safety property when an agent is building the tree.

What Hermoso does not do here

No recurring or repeating posts, no first-comment automation, no RSS auto-posting and no URL shortener. Per-channel captions are available on the API and from an AI agent, but the web composer has one caption box, which is worth remembering when the same text has to survive both LinkedIn's 3,000 characters and the 280 on X.

From the browser, or from an AI agent

Scheduling to LinkedIn works identically in the web app, in the in-app Studio chat, and from any AI agent over the MCP server — Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline or any MCP client. Connecting is a one-time OAuth flow in Settings, Connectors; a browser is needed once and everything after that is agent-callable, with no password reaching the model. Timing matches every other channel: up to 365 days ahead, a minimum lead of more than a minute, or the brand queue at 09:00, 13:00 and 17:00 by default. For the creative, see the AI video ad maker, or read what your competitors are running with the ad spy tool.

Frequently asked questions

How many characters is a LinkedIn post?

Hermoso enforces 3,000 characters at schedule time, which is LinkedIn’s cap. Over-length copy is refused with the number rather than truncated to fit. It is the second most generous cap of any channel here after Facebook, and comfortably longer than Instagram at 2,200 or Threads at 500.

Can Hermoso schedule to a LinkedIn company Page?

Yes, and the Page is chosen explicitly with linkedinOrganizationId rather than guessed. If you name a Page that has not been shared with the brand, the schedule is refused and the error lists the Pages that are shared. One person often administers several companies’ Pages, which is why Hermoso will not pick one for you.

Can Hermoso post to my personal LinkedIn profile?

Only if the personal profile has been explicitly ticked as shared with the brand. With no organization id set a post would go out as the connected person, so the default is off: if the profile is not shared, the schedule is refused right there, free, rather than failing hours later at posting time.

Can you schedule a LinkedIn draft?

No. LinkedIn has no unlisted, private or draft post, so public is the only visibility that exists and the only one Hermoso offers. A request for a draft is refused when you schedule it. Note that LinkedIn ads are different: every ad tier is born as a draft and must be activated before it serves.

Can I edit a LinkedIn post after publishing?

Only the copy. The image or video on a published LinkedIn post cannot be swapped afterwards, which is LinkedIn’s constraint rather than a gap in Hermoso. It is worth checking the asset before queueing a month of Page posts, because fixing the wording later is possible and fixing the picture is not.

What LinkedIn analytics does Hermoso read?

Followers and follower gains split organic against paid, Page views by all, unique, desktop and mobile, and per-post impressions, unique impressions, clicks, likes, comments, shares and engagement rate, with twelve months of retention. Follower figures run about two days behind, and posts with no activity are reported as missing rather than as zero.

Does Hermoso manage LinkedIn ads?

Yes, in full: campaign groups, campaigns, creatives, budgets, status, targeting search and reporting. Every tier is born as a draft, and the campaign group, campaign and creative all have to be active before a single impression serves, which makes an accidental live campaign hard to create by mistake.
