Hermoso schedules Threads posts from the same place it makes them, through the Meta Page you have already connected. The 500-character cap and Threads' single visibility state are enforced the moment you schedule, so a post that Threads would reject never reaches the queue.
Threads is usually not a channel on its own — it is the short end of a fan-out that also hits Facebook and Instagram. Hermoso treats it that way: one post, several networks, each attempted independently, with the per-channel results reported separately. What Threads actually allows
The caption cap is 500 characters. That is by far the tightest cap after X, and it is the one rule that most often breaks a shared caption: 2,200 characters of Instagram copy will not fit here. Hermoso refuses the over-length post with the number rather than cutting the last sentence off.
Visibility is public and nothing else. Threads has no unlisted, private or draft post, so there is no other state to pick and no setting quietly deciding for you.
Media is optional. An image, a video, or plain text with no media at all are each a valid Threads post, which makes it one of the few channels here where a caption on its own is enough.
Identity comes from the same connected Page that Facebook and Instagram publishing use, so connecting Threads does not add a separate login. The account owner ticks which Pages Hermoso may use, and the server re-verifies every id against the live connection: an unticked account is unusable, including by an AI agent, including for its owner.
Refused at schedule time, not at posting time
Anything Threads cannot do is refused while you are still there, with the platform rule and the fix. Paste an Instagram-length caption and you are told immediately it is over the 500-character cap, rather than having the post accepted, queued, and then quietly failed at 13:00 the following Tuesday. Ask for a draft and you are told Threads has none. Refusals are free and specific.
After the thread is live
Threads is the channel with the deepest post-publish surface in Hermoso. You can list your own posts, read Threads insights, list and reply to replies, hide a reply, delete a thread, read mentions, search Threads by keyword, and look up geotag location ids to attach to a post. That last one matters because a location has to be resolved to an id before it can be attached — guessing a place name does not work.
What Hermoso does not do here
There are no Threads-specific ad tools. Threads inventory is reached through Meta placements in the ads tree Hermoso builds for Facebook and Instagram, not through a separate Threads ads product, and there is no Threads ads product in Hermoso to pretend otherwise about. Beyond that: no recurring or repeating posts, no first-comment automation, no RSS auto-posting and no URL shortener. Per-channel captions exist on the API and from an AI agent, but the web composer has one caption box — which is exactly where the 500-character cap tends to bite.
From the browser, or from an AI agent
Scheduling a Threads post works identically in the web app, in the in-app Studio chat, and from any AI agent over the MCP server — Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline or any MCP client. Connecting the account is a one-time OAuth flow in Settings, Connectors: it needs a browser once, and everything after that is agent-callable. No password ever reaches the model.
Timing matches every other channel. Schedule up to 365 days ahead with a minimum lead of more than a minute, or drop the post into the brand's posting queue: default slots at 09:00, 13:00 and 17:00, up to 24 slots, a 90-day forward horizon, a slot at least five minutes away, and a real IANA timezone.
