Translate and dub a video
In the studio, upload the video or paste its link and say which language to dub it into.
Opens the Hermoso studio. Nothing runs until you say go, and the app shows the exact price first. Rather ask your AI? Add Hermoso to Claude or ChatGPT and say what you want.
A video that works in one market usually works in the next one too, if people can understand it. Subtitles help, but a dub is what makes it feel made for them. Hermoso translates a finished video into another language without making it again: it reads what is said, translates it, and has a native voice say each line at the same moment, with the mouth moving to the new words.

How does AI video translation work?
- Bring the video. Upload a file or paste a link.
- Pick the language. Name it the way you would say it, like Spanish, German or French (Canada).
- Hermoso reads the script off the video. No transcript needed. If you already have the exact words and the automatic read got one wrong, you can give it the script instead.
- A native voice says each line where it was said. The speaker's lips are synced to the new words and the music and background sound stay as they were.
What stays the same?
- the picture: nothing is re-filmed or regenerated
- the timing: each line lands where the original line did
- the background: music, room sound and effects stay
- the speaker's gender: by default the new voice matches the original speaker, and you can pick a different voice
When should I dub instead of subtitle?
Dub when the video is carried by someone talking to camera: a UGC ad, a founder video, a tutorial. A dub keeps viewers watching the person rather than reading. Subtitle when the words are a bonus and you want the original voice kept, or add subtitles on top of the dub for viewers with the sound off.
Can I translate videos from ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Connect the Hermoso MCP and ask your assistant to dub a video into a language. It runs through the dub_video tool, quotes the price first, and the same assistant can post the new version to your channels or use it in an ad campaign for that country.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free AI video translator?
Hermoso has a free plan with no card, and you can earn 250+ free credits on it. Dubbing is priced by the length of the video, and the app shows the exact price before it runs.
Does the dub match the speaker's lips?
Yes. Each line is said where the original line was said, and the speaker's mouth is synced to the new words.
Do I need a transcript?
No. Hermoso reads what is said off the video. You can give it the script only if the automatic read got a word wrong.
Does it keep the music and background sound?
Yes. Only the speech changes.
Can I choose the voice?
Yes. By default a native voice of the same gender as the original speaker reads the lines, and you can ask for a different voice.
Is translating a video the same as adding subtitles?
No. A dub replaces the speech with the new language. Subtitles keep the original voice and add text. You can do both.
