Hermoso schedules TikTok videos, photo posts and drafts from the same place it makes them. Both caption caps, all three privacy levels and TikTok's disclosure rules are enforced the moment you schedule, so a post TikTok would reject never sits in the queue.
The post is usually one Hermoso just rendered — researched from what is already working in your market, built with your real product, copy and CTA — rather than a file you exported and uploaded. The queue and the other seven networks are on the social media scheduler page.
What TikTok actually allows
There are two caption caps, not one: 2,200 characters for a video and 4,000 characters for a photo post. Hermoso applies the right one for the media you attached, and refuses over-length copy with the number rather than trimming it.
Visibility has three real states: public, private (only you can see it) and draft (it lands in your TikTok drafts for you to finish in the app). There is no unlisted. TikTok can post publicly, post privately so only you can see it, or go to your drafts — but it has no unlisted, so a request for one is refused rather than mapped onto the nearest thing.
Media is required: a video or an image. An image becomes a one-slide photo post, which is why the 4,000-character cap exists. One or the other has to be there.
No identity id is needed. Unlike Facebook and Pinterest, there is no Page or board to pick.
TikTok also requires that a person is shown the real privacy options and actively picks one, so Hermoso never defaults a privacy level on the immediate posting path. The disclosure controls available alongside it are privacy level, duet, stitch, comment settings, and the branded content and organic toggles. Branded content cannot be combined with a self-only post, and that combination is refused rather than silently resolved in one direction.
Refused at schedule time, with TikTok's rule
Everything that can be refused is refused while you are still there, naming the platform rule and the fix. Ask for an unlisted TikTok post and you are told immediately that TikTok has public, private and draft, and nothing else — you are not quietly downgraded to public overnight and left to find out from your own feed. A 3,000-character caption on a video is refused against the 2,200 cap even though it would have been fine on a photo post. Refusals are free and specific.
Measurement
Hermoso reads your own videos' views, likes, comments and shares, plus account-level follower, like and video counts. That is the organic picture: what your posts did and how the account is growing.
What Hermoso does not do here
Hermoso does not manage TikTok ads. There is no TikTok campaign, ad group or budget tool in the product, and nothing here creates or edits TikTok advertising. Organic publishing and measurement are what this channel covers. Beyond that, there are no recurring or repeating posts, no first-comment automation, no RSS auto-posting and no URL shortener anywhere in Hermoso. Per-channel captions are available on the API and from an AI agent, but the web composer has one caption box.
From the browser, or from an AI agent
Scheduling a TikTok post works identically in the web app, in the in-app Studio chat, and from any AI agent over the MCP server — Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline or any MCP client. Connecting the account is a one-time OAuth flow in Settings, Connectors: it needs a browser once, and everything after that is agent-callable. No password ever reaches the model.
Timing matches every other channel: up to 365 days ahead with a minimum lead of more than a minute, or into the brand's posting queue, whose default slots are 09:00, 13:00 and 17:00, with up to 24 slots, a 90-day forward horizon and a real IANA timezone.
For the creative that goes into the queue, see the AI TikTok ad generator and the AI UGC ad generator.
Frequently asked questions
Does Hermoso support TikTok drafts?
Yes. Draft is one of TikTok’s three real visibility states, and scheduling one puts the post into your TikTok drafts to finish in the app. The other two are public and private, where private means only you can see it. There is no unlisted on TikTok, so Hermoso does not offer one.
Can you schedule a private TikTok post?
Yes. Private on TikTok means only you can see the post, and it is a genuine option Hermoso will schedule. It is not the same as unlisted, which TikTok does not have at all. One restriction applies: branded content cannot be combined with a self-only post, and that combination is refused rather than resolved for you.
How many characters is a TikTok caption?
It depends on the media. A video caption is capped at 2,200 characters and a photo post caption at 4,000. Hermoso applies the right cap for what you attached and refuses over-length copy with the number rather than trimming it, so a caption written for a photo post will be refused if you swap in a video.
Can I schedule a TikTok photo post?
Yes. Attaching an image instead of a video produces a one-slide photo post, which carries the higher 4,000-character caption cap. Media of one kind or the other is required either way, so a caption on its own cannot be scheduled to TikTok. No Page or account id has to be chosen.
Does Hermoso manage TikTok ads?
No. Hermoso does not create, edit or report on TikTok advertising, and there is no TikTok campaign, ad group or budget tool in the product. This channel is organic publishing and organic measurement only. Full ads management does exist elsewhere in Hermoso, on Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Reddit Ads, LinkedIn, Pinterest and ChatGPT Ads, but not on TikTok.
Can I set duet, stitch and comment settings when scheduling?
Yes. The disclosure controls available are privacy level, duet, stitch, comment settings, and the branded content and organic toggles. TikTok requires that a person is shown the real privacy options and picks one, so Hermoso never defaults a privacy level on the immediate posting path rather than choosing quietly on your behalf.
What TikTok analytics does Hermoso show?
Your own videos’ views, likes, comments and shares, plus account-level follower, like and video counts. That covers what each post did and how the account is growing over time. It does not include paid metrics, because Hermoso does not manage TikTok advertising at all.
