A local service business has a different marketing problem from a shop. You are not shipping a product anywhere; you are asking someone within a few miles to trust you with their house, their teeth or their car. People choose on three things: whether you cover their area, whether you look like you know what you are doing, and whether other people say good things about you. The best ads for a service business show all three.
Hermoso runs your marketing on autopilot. It turns the photos from your jobs and the reviews you have earned into posts and ads, schedules them to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and the rest, and builds paid campaigns aimed at your service area on your own Meta and Google Ads accounts. Use the web studio, or ask for it from Claude or ChatGPT through the Hermoso MCP.
This page covers what every service business has in common. Each trade then has its own page below, because a roofer's year looks nothing like a dentist's.

The formats that win work
- Before and after. The most persuasive thing a service business can show. A split frame or a quick wipe from one to the other, built from your own two photos of the same job. It only works because both photos are real, so Hermoso lays out your own two photos as they are rather than generating either one.
- Reviews as creative. A five-star review from a real customer, set in big type over a photo of the job, or read out in a short video. Paste the review text and pick a look. Use reviews you have permission to share, and never write your own.
- The person who turns up. A short talking-head clip of you or a team member explaining one common problem. People hire the face they have already seen.
- The offer. A seasonal check-up, a first-visit price, a free quote. Clear, specific and easy to act on.
- Myth versus fact. A quick myth-busting slide or clip about your trade, which gets shared and saved more than a straight advert.
Aimed at your service area
An ad shown to someone outside your area is money spent on a person you cannot help. On Meta, Hermoso builds campaigns aimed at a radius around your base or around the towns you list. On Google Ads it builds search campaigns with location targeting, keywords and ads, so you show up when someone nearby searches for what you do. Lead ads with an instant form let people request a quote or a booking without leaving Facebook or Instagram, and Hermoso can read the leads back. Every campaign is created paused, so nothing spends until you approve it.
A word on Google Business Profile: it matters a great deal for local search, and posting to it from Hermoso is not available yet. Keep updating it directly in Google for now.
How it runs week to week
- Set up once. Paste your website, or describe the business in a few sentences if you do not have one. Hermoso builds a profile: your services, your area, your colours and the way you talk.
- Feed it your work. Upload job photos and a review or two whenever you have them. That is the raw material.
- Let it plan the posts. Hermoso drafts a mix of before and after, reviews, tips and offers, and schedules them across your channels. An automatic refill can keep the queue topped up.
- Push the busy seasons. When you want more work, build a paused local campaign around your best piece, check it and switch it on.
- Look at what worked. Read back the numbers by channel and see which posts and formats earned attention.
For agencies serving local businesses
Many local businesses get their marketing from a small agency or a freelancer. One Hermoso account can hold a separate brand workspace for each client, with its own photos, voice and connected accounts, and teammates can share a workspace. See the page for marketing agencies for more.
Frequently asked questions
What kinds of local businesses is this for?
Trades such as plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers and landscapers, home services such as cleaning and pest control, and appointment businesses such as dentists, med spas, salons, gyms and auto repair. Each has its own page with the formats and seasons that matter for it.
Can I make before and after ads?
Yes, from your own two photos of the same job. Hermoso lays them out as a split image, a carousel or a short reveal video. It does not need to generate either picture, and should not: a before and after only means something when both photos are real.
Can I use customer reviews in ads?
Yes. Paste the review text and Hermoso turns it into a static or a short video. Only use real reviews you have permission to share, and never write them yourself.
Can ads be limited to my service area?
Yes. Meta campaigns can target a radius around your base or specific towns, and Google Ads campaigns can target the locations you serve. Campaigns are created paused, so you check them before they spend.
Does it post to Google Business Profile?
Not yet. Google Business Profile posting is not available in Hermoso today. Posting to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Threads and Pinterest is.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan comes with 250+ earnable free credits and needs no card. The exact cost of each render is shown in the app before it runs.
