Hermoso schedules Facebook Page posts from the same place it makes them. Write or generate the post, pick a Page and a time, and it goes into the queue with Facebook's real rules already checked — caption length, whether a draft is possible, and which Page it belongs to.
Most schedulers begin with content you already have. Hermoso begins earlier: it researches what is running in your market, renders the ad with your real product, copy and CTA, and then schedules it. The queue itself and the other seven networks are covered on the social media scheduler page.
What Facebook actually allows
The caption cap enforced at schedule time is 63,206 characters, the length of a Facebook post field. Over-length copy is refused with the number, never silently truncated.
There are exactly two visibility states: public and draft. A draft is a real unpublished Page post, waiting in your Page's publishing tools for a human to release. There is no unlisted Facebook post and no private one, for a plain reason: a Facebook Page post is either published or held as an unpublished draft. Nothing else exists to offer, so nothing else is offered.
Media is the most permissive of any channel here. An image, a video, a link, or plain text with no media at all are each a valid Facebook post, so nothing is required.
The one identity Facebook needs is a pageId. Connect exactly one Page and it resolves itself — you never see the field. Connect several and a post that names no Page is refused by name, listing the Pages you could have meant, rather than guessed at. The account owner ticks which Pages Hermoso may use, and the server re-verifies every id against the live connection, so an unticked Page is unusable, including by an AI agent, including for its owner.
Refused when you schedule it, not when it fires
Everything that can be refused is refused at the moment you schedule, with the real Facebook rule and the fix attached. Ask for an unlisted Page post and you are told immediately that Facebook has only published and draft. You are not quietly downgraded to public at 09:00 tomorrow and left to discover it from the feed. The same applies to over-length copy and to an ambiguous Page: the refusal arrives while you are still there, it costs nothing, and it names what to change.
After the post is live
A published Facebook post can be edited or deleted. Comments on it can be listed, replied to, hidden and deleted. Organic measurement covers Page insights and per-post insights, so you can read what a scheduled post actually did without leaving the app.
The paid side
Facebook is the channel where Hermoso goes furthest past scheduling: full Meta ads management — campaigns, ad sets and ads, audiences, budgets, targeting, insights, ad previews rendered per placement, and reach estimates before a budget is committed. Everything is created paused, and the only switch that arms real spend is confirm-gated. For the creative half of that, see the AI Facebook ad generator, or find the ads your competitors keep paying to run with the ad spy tool.
From the browser, or from an AI agent
Scheduling a Facebook post works identically in the web app, in the in-app Studio chat, and from any AI agent over the MCP server — Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline or anything else that speaks MCP. Connecting the Page is a one-time OAuth flow in Settings, Connectors: it needs a browser once, and everything after that is agent-callable. No password ever reaches the model.
Timing is the same on every surface. Schedule up to 365 days ahead with a minimum lead of more than a minute, or drop the post into the brand's posting queue, whose default slots are 09:00, 13:00 and 17:00, with up to 24 slots, a 90-day forward horizon and a real IANA timezone.
What Hermoso does not do here
There are no recurring or repeating Facebook posts, no first-comment automation, no RSS auto-posting and no URL shortener. Per-channel captions — a different caption for Facebook than for Instagram in the same fan-out — are available on the API and from an AI agent, but the web composer has one caption box, and we would rather say so than let you find out after publishing.
Frequently asked questions
How many characters can a scheduled Facebook post be?
The cap Hermoso enforces at schedule time is 63,206 characters, which is the length of a Facebook post field. Anything longer is refused right there with the number, not truncated to fit. That check happens before the post is stored, so an over-length caption never sits in the queue waiting to fail hours later.
Can Hermoso schedule a Facebook draft?
Yes. Draft is one of exactly two visibility options Facebook offers a Page post, and in Hermoso it produces a genuine unpublished Page post that a human releases from your Page’s publishing tools. The other option is public. There is no unlisted or private Facebook Page post, so neither is offered.
What happens if I have more than one Facebook Page connected?
A post that does not name a Page is refused by name, with the list of connected Pages, rather than sent to whichever one Hermoso guessed. Set the pageId to choose. With exactly one connected Page it resolves itself and you never see the field. The account owner also ticks which Pages are usable at all.
Can Hermoso schedule a link post or a text-only Facebook post?
Yes to both. Facebook is the most permissive channel Hermoso publishes to: an image, a video, a link or plain text with no media at all are all valid, so no media is required. Compare that with Instagram, where a photo or Reel is mandatory, and TikTok, which needs a video or an image.
Can I edit or delete a Facebook post after it publishes?
Yes. A published Facebook Page post can be edited or deleted from Hermoso, and comments on it can be listed, replied to, hidden and deleted. This is a real difference from Instagram, where the API does not permit editing or deleting a post at all once it has gone out.
Does Hermoso manage Facebook ads as well as organic posts?
Yes, and it is the deepest ads integration in the product: campaigns, ad sets and ads, audiences, budgets, targeting, insights, ad previews per placement, and reach estimates before any budget is committed. Everything is created paused, and the only switch that arms real spend is confirm-gated behind an explicit confirmation.
Can Claude schedule a Facebook post for me?
Yes. The same scheduling rules run in the web app, in the in-app Studio chat, and over the MCP server at https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp, so Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client can queue a Page post. Connecting the Page needs a browser once; after that every publishing action is agent-callable.
