LinkedIn MCP: post, reply, pull leads and run ads from your AI

One hosted MCP server for LinkedIn: company Page and profile posts, comments, Page analytics, Lead Gen Form leads, the LinkedIn Ad Library and LinkedIn Ads, connected once with LinkedIn’s own sign-in.

Is there a LinkedIn MCP server? Yes. Hermoso is a hosted LinkedIn MCP server. Add https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP client, connect LinkedIn once with LinkedIn’s own sign-in, and your assistant can post to your company Page or your own profile, answer comments as the Page, read Page analytics, collect the leads from your Lead Gen Forms, research competitors in LinkedIn’s Ad Library and build LinkedIn Ads campaigns.

Most LinkedIn MCP servers stop at posting text. That covers the easy part. The jobs that take a marketer’s afternoon are the ones around the post: a carousel built from real slides, a link card that actually shows a preview, a reply to the comment that came in overnight, the leads from last week’s form in the CRM, and a paid campaign for the post that worked. Hermoso does all of those on one connection, next to the rest of your marketing: research, image and video creation, scheduling across your other channels and campaigns on your other ad accounts.

Install it once

In Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, paste https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp under Settings → Connectors and approve it with your Hermoso account. In ChatGPT, Hermoso is an app you can add from the app directory. In a coding agent it is one command: claude mcp add --transport http hermoso https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp in Claude Code, or npx skills add hermoso-ai/hermoso -a cursor in Cursor (name your own agent after -a), then sign in once with npx -y hermoso auth login. There is no API key to paste: the connector signs in with OAuth. Full setup for every client is on the MCP & CLI page.

What your agent can do with the LinkedIn MCP

Every row is a real tool on the server. Ask in plain words and the agent picks the tools; you never type a tool name.

JobToolsWhat happens
Post to a company Pagelist_linkedin_pages, post_to_linkedin_pageText, image, video and link posts with a real preview card, and carousels of 2 to 20 images. A video can carry captions and its own cover. If you run several Pages, the agent asks which one.
Post to your own profilepost_to_linkedinText and image posts on your personal profile. Your profile stays off until you turn it on in the brand’s connector settings.
Schedule aheadschedule_postQueue a Page or profile post for a time, or into the brand’s next free posting slot, alongside the same post on other channels.
Edit or deletemanage_linkedin_postChange the copy of a published post or delete it. LinkedIn does not let the media of a published post be swapped, so the agent gets that right before posting.
Answer commentslist_linkedin_comments, reply_to_linkedin_comment, delete_linkedin_commentRead the comments on your Page posts, reply as the Page, and remove the ones that should go.
Measure the Pagelinkedin_page_analyticsFollowers gained (organic and paid), Page views, and impressions, clicks, likes, comments, shares and engagement rate per post.
Collect leadslist_linkedin_lead_forms, list_linkedin_leads, get_linkedin_lead, subscribe_linkedin_leadsRead Lead Gen Form leads on demand, or have LinkedIn push each new lead the moment it arrives, with an optional relay to your own CRM.
Research competitorssearch_linkedin_ad_library, search_linkedin_brand_partnershipsLinkedIn’s own Ad Library, with each ad’s targeting, impression ranges by country and the reason a removed ad was removed. Plus organic posts creators disclosed as brand partnerships.
Run LinkedIn Adscreate_linkedin_ads_campaign, create_linkedin_ads_creative, linkedin_ads_reportCampaign groups, campaigns and ads, built as drafts that spend nothing until you approve them. The full ads surface is on the LinkedIn Ads MCP page.

Example prompts

Paste any of these into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor once Hermoso is connected. Each one is a single request.

  • “Turn this PDF into a LinkedIn carousel and post it to our company Page tomorrow at 9am.”
The slides go up in order as one carousel post with schedule_post, on the Page the agent confirms with you.
  • “Share our new blog post on the Page with a proper link preview.”
post_to_linkedin_page with the link card filled from the article’s own title, description and image, since LinkedIn does not build previews for API posts.
  • “Which comments on our last three Page posts has nobody answered? Draft replies in our voice.”
list_linkedin_comments finds them; each reply is shown to you before reply_to_linkedin_comment sends it.
  • “How did our Page do last month, and which post brought the most followers?”
linkedin_page_analytics for the window, with the per-post table sorted for you.
  • “Pull this week’s webinar leads and add them to HubSpot.”
list_linkedin_leads reads the form; the HubSpot connector writes the contacts.
  • “What is our biggest competitor running on LinkedIn, and who are they targeting?”
search_linkedin_ad_library returns their ads with the targeting LinkedIn publishes for each one.
  • “Boost our best post from last week to marketing directors in the US and Canada as a draft campaign.”
The ads tools build a draft campaign and creative; nothing spends until you approve it.

What LinkedIn itself requires

  • Carousels are Page-only. LinkedIn does not let a personal profile publish a multi-image post, so a deck always goes to a company Page.
  • Comments use a second LinkedIn connection. LinkedIn grants comment access through its Community Management product, separately from posting. The app walks you through connecting it once.
  • Link previews must be supplied. LinkedIn does not scrape links for API partners, so Hermoso reads the page and fills the card for you.
  • Live events need LinkedIn Live access on the member’s account; LinkedIn decides that, not Hermoso.

What it will not do without asking

Anything that publishes, messages a real person, deletes, or could start spend asks you first: the agent shows you the exact text, media and target and waits for a yes. LinkedIn Ads are created as drafts and only go live through a status switch that refuses to run without your explicit confirmation.

Connecting LinkedIn

You connect LinkedIn in the app under Workspace ▸ Connectors, through LinkedIn’s own consent screen, so no password passes through the model. One authorisation covers the web app, the MCP server and the CLI. If you manage several Pages or brands, each brand selects the Pages and ad accounts that belong to it, and teammates only see that set.

Why run LinkedIn from an agent

The point is that the post stops being a separate chore. In one conversation the agent can read what competitors run in the Ad Library, write the post in your brand voice, make the carousel or the video, publish or schedule it, answer the comments it gets, and put a budget behind the one that works. See what an AI marketing agent does, or the step-by-step guides for LinkedIn in Claude, LinkedIn in ChatGPT and LinkedIn in Cursor.

Every LinkedIn tool on the server

This list is read from the live tool roster each time the page is built, so it is the whole surface rather than a highlight reel. The tools Hermoso shares across channels (scheduling, uploads, creative, research) sit beside these.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a LinkedIn MCP server?

Yes. Hermoso is a hosted LinkedIn MCP server at https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, connect LinkedIn once, and your assistant can post, schedule, answer comments, read analytics, pull leads and run LinkedIn Ads.

Can it post to my personal LinkedIn profile?

Yes, text and image posts, once you turn the profile on in the brand’s connector settings. It is off by default. Carousels and link-card posts go to a company Page, because LinkedIn only allows those there.

Do I need an API key?

No. You sign in to Hermoso with OAuth from your AI client and connect LinkedIn with LinkedIn’s own consent screen. Nothing to paste.

Can it read and answer comments?

Yes, on your company Page posts, after you connect LinkedIn’s Community Management access, which LinkedIn grants as a separate connection.

Does posting cost credits?

No. Connecting, posting, scheduling and managing ads are free on every plan. Credits are spent only on AI generation and ad research, and the app shows the exact price before anything runs.

Which AI apps does it work with?

Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Cline and any other client that speaks MCP, plus the Hermoso web app and CLI. It is one account, so a post scheduled from Cursor shows up in the same calendar as one made in Claude.
