Free YouTube transcript

Paste a YouTube video or Shorts link and get the full transcript, plus a short breakdown of how it hooks you, how it is built and what it asks you to do.

What you get

Paste a YouTube link, either a regular video or a Short, and the Hermoso Studio returns the video's transcript: the words spoken in it, as text you can read, search and copy. Alongside it, the Studio writes a summary of three things a marketer cares about most: the hook (how the opening grabs attention), the structure (how the video moves from point to point) and the call to action (what it asks the viewer to do at the end).

You can follow up right away. Ask for the hook rewritten for your product, the main claims pulled out as a list, or the whole structure turned into a script outline you can film.

Ways to use a transcript

  1. Study a script that works. Pull the transcript of a competitor's top Short and read it as a script. Word for word, you can see how fast they get to the point and how often they repeat the key line.
  2. Write your own ad from a proven shape. Keep the structure, swap in your product and your claims. The breakdown of hook, structure and call to action gives you the skeleton to fill.
  3. Reuse your own videos. Paste a link to one of your videos and turn the transcript into captions, a blog post, a thread or email copy, without typing it out by hand.
  4. Check what was actually said. When a review or a creator video mentions your brand, read the exact words instead of relying on memory.

How to read the breakdown

Start with the hook. Most videos win or lose in their first lines, so compare the opening to the rest: is it a question, a bold claim, a surprising picture described in words? Then follow the structure the Studio lays out and note where the video shows proof, such as a demo, a result or a testimonial. Last, look at the call to action and how early it arrives. Short videos often ask once at the end; longer ones may ask several times.

Limits to know

  • A transcript needs speech. A video with only music, or only text on screen, has no spoken words to turn into a transcript.
  • Private and removed videos cannot be read. The video must be publicly viewable.
  • Names, brand terms and slang can come out misspelled. Check any quote before you publish it.
  • It reads the words, not the pictures. Visual gags or on-screen product shots are not in the transcript, though you can describe them to the Studio and ask how they fit the script.

Frequently asked questions

Is the YouTube transcript tool free?

Yes. Paste a YouTube video or Shorts link and get the transcript for free, with a summary of the hook, structure and call to action.

Does it work on YouTube Shorts?

Yes. Paste a Shorts link or a regular video link. Both return a transcript when the video has speech.

Why did a video return no transcript?

The video may have no spoken words (music or on-screen text only), or it may be private or removed. A transcript needs speech in a publicly viewable video.

Is the transcript word-perfect?

It is close, but names, brand terms and slang can be misspelled. Check any line before you quote it publicly.

Can I copy the text?

Yes. The transcript appears as plain text in the chat, so you can copy it into a doc, caption or script.

What can I do with the breakdown?

Ask the Studio to rewrite the hook for your product, turn the structure into a script outline, or build an ad that follows the same shape.
