Clone any video you love, now starring your product
Paste a TikTok, Reel, Facebook, X or YouTube link and Hermoso remakes it for your brand. Same hook, same cuts, same feel. Your product, your cast, your words.
You know the feeling. A video stops your thumb, you watch it twice, and you think: that exact thing, but for us. Until now the next step was a brief, a shot list and a lot of squinting at the original. Now it is a link.
Paste a TikTok, an Instagram Reel, a Facebook video, an X post or a YouTube Short into Hermoso and say clone this for my brand. Hermoso watches the video, works out why it works, and plans a new one for your product that moves the same way. Then it renders it.
What happens when you paste a link
- Hermoso watches the whole thing. It samples frames across the clip and transcribes the voiceover, the on-screen text and the cut map, so it knows the hook, where the cuts land and how fast the edit moves.
- It plans your version. A storyboard that keeps the original's hook, structure, jump cuts and pacing, and swaps in your product, your cast, your setting and your words.
- It renders. The new ad matches the original's length, up to 60 seconds, unless you ask for a different one.
What it keeps, and what it changes
The things that made the original work stay put: the opening move that stops the scroll, the order of the beats, the rhythm of the cuts and the overall shape of the story.
The things that belong to someone else get replaced. Their product becomes yours, their words become your script, their face becomes a new person, and their brand disappears. A clone borrows a format. It never copies the original's words, face or brand.
It keeps the feel, not just the structure
Plenty of the videos worth cloning were never commercials. Someone propped a phone on a bathroom counter and filmed their morning routine. Clones respect that:
- Self-filmed stays self-filmed. If the original was shot on a phone by the person in it, your version is too: handheld, real rooms, everyday light. The phone doing the filming never shows up in the shot.
- A wordless video stays wordless. If the original never says a thing and just shows the routine, your clone does not suddenly start pitching.
- The cast matches the original. An everyday person filming their own routine gets an everyday person, not a model on a set.
- Your product plays the part their product played. It shows up where theirs showed up and gets used the way it is really used. A hand mist gets spritzed on hands. Nothing is invented to fill a gap, like an app your brand does not have.
No captions or logo unless you ask
If the original had no captions and no end card, neither does your clone. Want them? Ask, and describe the look: a big serif title, bold outlined caps, a handwritten note. Captions and end cards now take the style you describe.
Steer it with plain words
Add a line about what to change or keep and the plan follows it. Same hook but in a gym. Keep the jump cut, use an older creator. Make it 20 seconds. You can also name the product and the angle, or have the script written in another language.
Which links work
TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, Facebook videos and reels, X posts with video, YouTube Shorts and videos, and any direct link to a video file. If the video is on your computer, upload it and clone from that link.
YouTube sometimes refuses to hand a video to servers. When that happens Hermoso says so plainly and plans from the captions and thumbnail instead, so you always know what the plan is based on.
From your AI agent
Cloning is an MCP tool, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any agent connected to Hermoso can do the whole thing in one conversation:
clone_videotakes theurl, and optionallyproduct, changes, durationSecondsandlanguage. It returns the plan and tells you exactly what it watched.render_adtakes that plan and makes the video.
So clone this Reel for our new flavour and keep the reveal at the end becomes two tool calls and a finished ad. The full walkthrough lives on the video cloning page.
Questions people ask
Does cloning copy the original video?
No. It keeps the format: the hook, the order of the beats, the cuts and the pacing. The product, the people, the setting and every word are new and yours. It never reuses the original's words, face or brand.
How long can a cloned video be?
It matches the original's length up to 60 seconds. You can ask for a different length when you clone it.
Which links can I clone from?
TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, Facebook videos and reels, X posts with video, YouTube Shorts and videos, and direct video file links. YouTube sometimes will not share the footage, and Hermoso tells you when a plan is based on the captions and thumbnail instead.
Will my clone have captions or an end card?
Only if you ask. Clones come back clean. Ask for captions or an end card and describe the look you want.
Can I clone a video from an AI agent?
Yes. Call clone_video with the link, then render_ad with the plan it returns. It works from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any MCP client connected to Hermoso.
