Connect Hermoso to Atlassian Rovo

Your team runs its marketing from Rovo: ad research, finished creative, scheduled posts and campaign reports, next to the work it is for.

Atlassian asks four things of a custom MCP server: a public HTTPS URL, the Streamable HTTP transport, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, and dynamic client registration so Atlassian can register itself. Hermoso does all four, so there is no OAuth app for you to create.

The server URL

Before you start

  • You need to be an organization admin in Atlassian. You add Hermoso once for a site, and the people on it can then use it.
  • A Hermoso account. The free plan is enough to try it (see pricing). No account yet? Create one in the app first.

The steps

  1. Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.
  2. From the sidebar menu, expand Apps.
  3. Expand Sites, then select the site you want Hermoso on.
  4. Select Connected apps.
  5. Expand the dropdown button beside Explore apps and select Add external MCP server.
  6. Read the disclaimers, then select Agree and continue.
  7. Pick the server. If Hermoso is not in the list, select Custom MCP server.
  8. Select Next and follow the installation instructions. When it asks for the server URL, enter https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp.
  9. When it finishes you land on the settings screen for the server, where you choose which tools Rovo may use.

What you will be asked to approve

Your browser opens Hermoso's own page. It asks whether to let Rovo use your Hermoso account, under whatever name Rovo registers itself with. Sign in if you aren't already, then select Allow. That is the only thing you approve. It lets Rovo research ads, plan creative and generate images and video on your account, the same things you can do in the app. There is no key to copy, and you can take it back any time in Hermoso under Settings, Agents & API.

Connecting Hermoso does not connect your ad accounts or social channels. You add those inside Hermoso, under Settings, Connectors, and only the ones you want. Ads are created paused, and nothing is posted or spent unless you ask for it.
