Connect Hermoso to Salesforce Agentforce

Let your Agentforce agents research campaigns, make the creative and schedule the posts, next to the customer data they already use.

The Agentforce Registry signs in to a third-party MCP server with OAuth 2.0 client credentials: a client ID and a client secret it trades for a token. Hermoso accepts one of its API keys as that secret, so there is no separate app to create.

Before you start

  • A Salesforce admin with the Manage AI Agents permission, on Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited or Developer Edition. You also need a Hermoso API key.
  • A Hermoso account. The free plan is enough to try it (see pricing). No account yet? Create one in the app first.

The steps

  1. In Hermoso, open the MCP & CLI tab and create a key under Terminal & API keys. Copy it.
  2. In Salesforce Setup, type Agentforce in Quick Find and select Agentforce Registry.
  3. Click New and register a server from scratch. Name it Hermoso, add a short description, and enter the URL https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp.
  4. Choose OAuth 2.0 as the authentication method and fill in: Identity Provider URL https://app.hermoso.ai/oauth/token, Client ID hermoso, Client Secret your Hermoso API key. Leave Scope empty.
  5. Allowlist the tools you want your agents to use, and save.
  6. Open your agent, pick or create the topic the tools belong to, go to This Topic's Actions, and use Add from Asset Library to add the Hermoso tools.

The key decides which Hermoso account and brand the agent acts on. Pin it to a brand with use_brand, or make a separate key for each brand.

Revoking the key in Hermoso ends the connection immediately.

What you will be asked to approve

Your browser opens Hermoso's own page. It asks whether to let Agentforce use your Hermoso account, under whatever name Agentforce registers itself with. Sign in if you aren't already, then select Allow. That is the only thing you approve. It lets Agentforce research ads, plan creative and generate images and video on your account, the same things you can do in the app. There is no key to copy, and you can take it back any time in the Hermoso app, on the MCP & CLI tab under Terminal & API keys.

Connecting Hermoso does not connect your ad accounts or social channels. You add those inside Hermoso, under Settings, Connectors, and only the ones you want. Ads are created paused, and nothing is posted or spent unless you ask for it.
