Best AI video models for ads going into 2027: Seedance 2.5, Kling 4.0, Veo 3.1 and more
Which AI video model to use for which ad in 2027, from our own side-by-side tests: real-looking people, 30-second takes, cheap drafts, and what each one costs per second.
Short answer: Seedance 2.5 is the model to beat for ads with a real-looking person in them, and it holds up to 30 seconds in one take. Kling 4.0 is the newest serious contender. Veo 3.1 has the most cinematic light. For cheap hook drafts with sound, MiniMax H3 and Veo 3.1 Lite cost a few cents a second.
This is based on our own tests: the same ad prompt run once on each model (watch every clip here), plus a product-ad test we ran when Kling 4.0 came out in October 2026.

| Kling 4.0 | Kuaishou | about $0.16 | 30 seconds | Long takes with sound at a lower price |
| Veo 3.1 | $0.40 | 8 seconds | Cinematic, polished shots | |
| Wan 3.0 | Alibaba | about $0.10 | 30 seconds | 30-second spots on a budget |
| MiniMax H3 | MiniMax | about $0.06 | 15 seconds | Cheap drafts with sound |
| Veo 3.1 Lite | $0.05 | 8 seconds | The cheapest believable clip with sound |

Is Kling 4.0 better than Seedance 2.5?
Not for product ads, in our test. We gave both the same product photo and brief for a 10-second ad. Seedance 2.5 kept the product right and moved naturally. Kling 4.0 held the raw photo still for about a second before moving, got the product's shape wrong and added a glossy trail. One test is not a verdict, and Kling 4.0 is cheaper per second and holds 30 seconds, so it is worth trying on your own shots. For now Seedance 2.5 stays our default for ads with people and products.
What to expect in 2027
- Longer single takes. Thirty seconds was rare at the start of 2026 and is now normal at the top. Expect full spots in one generation.
- Sound as standard. Native speech and room sound went from a feature to the default this year.
- Cheaper drafts. A few cents a second is enough to test a hook. Draft cheap, finish the winner on a premium model.
- Labels still need help. Video models still invent text on products. Start from a real product photo or an image with the text right, then animate it.
