Connect Hermoso to Zed

Zed connects to remote MCP servers by URL. When a remote server has no Authorization header configured, Zed signs you in with the standard MCP OAuth flow, which Hermoso supports. So the URL is all you enter.

Before you start

• Anyone using Zed's agent.
• A Hermoso account. The free plan is enough to try it (see pricing). No account yet? Create one in the app first.

The steps

1. Open Settings, then AI, then MCP Servers. (The agent: open settings action gets you there too.)
2. Click Add Server in the page header and choose Add Remote Server.
3. Give it the name hermoso and the URL https://app.hermoso.ai/mcp, with no Authorization header. Your settings file (zed: open settings file) ends up with an entry like this:

4. Because there is no Authorization header, Zed prompts you to authenticate. Follow it to the Hermoso sign-in page.
5. Back in MCP Servers, watch the dot next to the name. Green, with the tooltip "Server is active", means you are connected.
6. Go to the Agent Panel and ask for something. Naming Hermoso in the prompt helps the model reach for its tools.

What you will be asked to approve

Your browser opens Hermoso's own page. It asks whether to let Zed use your Hermoso account, under whatever name Zed registers itself with. Sign in if you aren't already, then select Allow. That is the only thing you approve. It lets Zed research ads, plan creative and generate images and video on your account, the same things you can do in the app. There is no key to copy, and you can take it back any time in Hermoso under Settings, Agents & API.

Connecting Hermoso does not connect your ad accounts or social channels. You add those inside Hermoso, under Settings, Connectors, and only the ones you want. Ads are created paused, and nothing is posted or spent unless you ask for it.
