Subtitles for any video, in the look you want
Add burned-in subtitles to any video in Hermoso, whether you made it, uploaded it or found it online, and pick the font, color, box and position. You get the .srt file too.
Most people scroll with the sound off. If your video talks, the words need to be on screen. Hermoso now adds subtitles to any video: something you made in Hermoso, a file you upload, or a link to a video online.
How it works
- Pick a video. Open the ⋯ menu on any video and choose Add subtitles. Or ask in chat: add subtitles to this video.
- Choose a look. Start from a style (Bold, Minimal, Dark box, White box, Editorial or Handwritten) and adjust the color, size, position and case.
- Hermoso writes the lines. It transcribes the speech, breaks it into short lines you can read at a glance, and shows each one with the sentence it belongs to.
- You get two files. The video with the subtitles burned in, saved to your Library, and an .srt file with the same lines.
Make them look like your brand
Subtitles are part of the video, so they should match it. You can choose:
- Font: a clean sans, a display serif, an elegant serif, tall condensed capitals, or marker handwriting.
- Color: any hex color, like your brand yellow.
- Background: no box, a see-through dark box, or a solid box in any color.
- Position: bottom, lower third, center or top.
- Size and case: small to extra large, as spoken or all caps.
Leave it all alone and you get clean white subtitles with a thin outline, sitting above the spot where TikTok and Reels put their buttons.
Your video stays as it is
Nothing is cut, reframed or re-rendered. The picture, the pacing and the sound stay exactly as they were. Only the words are added.
The .srt file
The same subtitles come back as an .srt file. Upload it to YouTube as a caption track, so viewers can turn captions on and off. If you only want the file, ask for the .srt and nothing is burned into the video.
A note on timing
Each line appears with the sentence it belongs to and follows the speech closely. It is not word-by-word karaoke, so with a very fast talker a line can land a moment early or late.

Can Hermoso add subtitles to a video I did not make in Hermoso?
Yes. Upload the file or paste a link to it. YouTube, Vimeo, Loom and direct video links work. TikTok, Instagram and Facebook links do not, so download the video and upload it instead.
Can I change the subtitle font and color?
Yes. Pick a style, then change the font, color, background box, size, position and case.
Do I get an SRT file?
Yes. Every run returns an .srt file with the same lines, which you can upload to YouTube as a caption track.
Are the subtitles word by word?
No. Each line is timed to the sentence it belongs to, so it follows the speech closely without highlighting single words.
Does adding subtitles change my video?
No. The video is not cut or re-rendered. Only the subtitles are added on top.
